Founded in 2024 by Annie Lloyd and Egle Pernare, Resound is a public art project that shapes immersive experiences to restore sensory connection and ecological awareness. Working across sound, music, visual art, and spatial design, Resound transforms public spaces into environments to foster presence, ritual, and reconnection.
With a background in classical music, sound design, visual art and installation, the founders draw on traditions of deep listening, ecological thinking, and embodied practice. Their work blends field recording, harmonic composition, and visual design to create spaces that slow perception, awaken attention, and invite new forms of intimacy with self, place, and the more-than-human world.
Eglė Pernarė is a Lithuanian artist working across sound, film, ambient composition, and installation. With a background in classical piano and visual art, her work explores the relationship between sensory perception, ecological systems, and the more-than-human world. She has developed immersive sound-based projects through international residencies, with work presented in public including Ars Electronica. Eglė holds an MA from the Royal College of Art, and her work is held in the permanent collections of the V&A Museum and RCA.
Annie Lloyd is a British sound designer and editor working across film, television, radio, and sound art. A graduate of the National Film and Television School, her practice blends technical precision with inventive, tactile approaches to immersive sound. She has worked with studios including the BBC, Pinewood, and Shepperton, and her credits span drama, documentary, children's media, and art installations such as Space Flora at Ars Electronica. Annie's work often explores perspective and perception through bespoke sound-capturing techniques.

Pilot project: PIRTIS
'Pirtis' is our first public sound installation and the foundation of our evolving practice. This pilot project weaves together layers of field recordings, from elemental textures of fire, steam, and hushing plants to deep earth frequencies and underwater acoustics, into an immersive soundscape designed to slow perception and awaken the senses.
This work is inspired by the ancient Lithuanian bathhouse tradition called 'Pirtis', not as a cultural re-creation but as a conceptual starting point: a ritual of renewal, contraction, and release. In pirtis, the body meets elemental nature, fire, water, air, steam, plants, in a choreography that echoes the thermal dynamics of the earth itself. It is a process of rebirth: intense, intimate, and alive.
We approach sound in this same way, as a distillation of life's rhythms and relationships. Each sonic layer carries the memory of a more-than-human force: the tremble of ground, the hiss of steam, the breath of moss and wind. The resulting installation is not a narrative, but an atmosphere, a condensed sensory encounter with the living earth and the skybodies that sustain it.
Acoustic Sauna will be installed in a public space in London (TBC) as an invitation to pause, listen, and return to presence, offering a moment of reconnection in the midst of the urban hum.
